Like Cleo Higgins in the 1990s, this Easy Foccacia is coming atcha.
Easy Foccacia Recipe
This one's adapted from a Paul Hollywood recipe.
- 500 g Strong White Flour Plus extra for kneading
- 2 tsp Salt
- 14 g Dried Easy Blend Yeast 2 Packs
- 2 tsp Olive Oil Plus extra for drizzling
- 400 ml Cold Water
Place the flour, salt, yeast, olive oil and 300ml of the water into a large bowl. Stir with a wooden spoon to form a dough then knead the dough in the bowl for five minutes, gradually adding the remaining water.
Tip the dough onto a floured work surface and knead for around 10 minutes, return to your bowl and cover until doubled in size (30 minutes give or take).
Grease two large baking sheets (or round pizza trays) with some olive oil. Tip your dough out of your bowl and divide into two. Flatten each portion into a baking tray until you've got it evenly distributed across the whole tray, then leave to prove for another hour.
Preheat an oven to 220C. Drizzle your loves with some oil and sprinkle with sea salt. Bake for 20 minutes. When cooked, drizzle again with some oil and serve hot or warm.
